You’ve seen me talk about The Shake Ups before. Heck, you’ve heard me talk to The Shake Ups (Podcast Link). There are a few reasons why I’m a fan of theirs. Not only are they are great musicians, they are friendly and appreciative of their fans. Part of that is how giving they are. They have done bake sales and fund raisers in the past, and this weekend they’re watching out for one of their fans with a benefit show!
Libby is a little girl who was diagnosed with Pilomyxoid Astrocytoma, which is a brain tumor. She has been living with chemotherapy, and ongoing treatments, since she was three. She is now seven. We all know that this can be expensive, and that insurance does not cover all of the costs associated with something like this. Due to this, they family has started a Go Fund Me site (LINK), and on Sunday, there is going to be a benefit show for her fight against cancer!
On Sunday, June 25th, Bent Rail Brewery & Restaurant will be the site for an all-ages show featuring The Shake Ups and Rejoice. It will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, there will be normal food and drink service available, and it will be free to attend. Now, of course, with it being a benefit, donations are suggested, and can be made at the linked Go Fund Me site, above. In addition, there will be door prizes available.
If you are free on Sunday, head over to Bent Rail Brewery for a few hours of good music and supporting a young lady and her family. Here’s what you need to know:
