Hey there, artists, writers, cosplayers, and vendors of all the types we normally see at our local shows!
With all of the Hoosier convention postponements and cancellations rolling in, like Who’s Yer Con, Indiana Comic Con, Muncie Comic Con, Eville Con, and DralaCon, with the likelihood of others following suit, I wanted to try to do something to help out all the folx I see at conventions every year.
Since I don’t have a ton of money (this Geek’s been hit hard, as well!), I thought I could expand the idea of “Hey, here’s a page full of people who need help!” and turn it into, essentially, an online convention.
Without the table fees, and admission costs, because that would just be silly.
There are no fees, this isn’t going to get you on a Geeking Mailing List (though, I will email you to tell you your listing is up, and to let you know when things are coming down), this is just to try to make my life easier as I’m gathering all of the information.
As you’re filling out the application, please help me out with a few things:
- Please use full links for all the answers. I’m going through a lot of these, and it takes a while to go to Twitter or Instagram to find your full link.
- Double check that your links are correct, and aren’t linking to the mobile version of Facebook or other sites.
- Please keep your shop description about the length of a tweet. It’s going right under your name, so you don’t have to repeat your name again, and if you have anything you’d like to add, like descriptions of your work, coupon codes, or “Contact me at…” then please add it to the “Notes” section at the end of the application.
Here is a rough idea of what each listing will look like:

NOTE: As I’ve started listing people, I came to the realization that I really haven’t put out any restrictions. In all honesty? I don’t have many. I do ask that if you’re selling material of the mature variety, you put that disclaimer in your notes section, so we can put it up in your description. Also, I ask that everyone who is vending with me only sell their own work, their own product, or items they have the rights to sell. I’ve been in the creating game for a long time, and one thing I really hate is piracy. So, don’t do it. If someone sends me proof that your items were lifted from their stores, then I’m going to remove your listing. Thank you for your understanding!
I hope this will help you all during this rough time, and let me know if you have any questions! – Tony
Disclaimer: Geeking@Home Con is just a way for Geeking in Indiana to try to help those creators and vendors who are being hurt by the pandemic. Unless explicitly stated, none of the events or shops are exclusive to this “event” nor are they under any obligation to participate. In that respect, Geeking in Indiana is only the listing agent for all of the vendors and events posted on the page. While I do my best to make sure everybody is on the up-and-up, I’ve been fooled before, so caveat emptor.
