Ah, introductions. Definitely the hardest part. I start to write, thinking it’ll be easy, and suddenly I’ve gone through 12 different openings and deleted many details. Oof.
Hello everyone! I’m Grant. I’m new here. I hope you like me!
That’s me outside Comics Cubed in Kokomo, my home town. And yes, I used this as one of my senior portraits.
I’m the newest (and youngest) addition to Team Geeking. I’m a freshman at IUPUI, and I’m studying Secondary Education for English. Yeah, I know, real exciting.
Well, I’m excited at least. Right now, as I type in my dorm, I still can’t come to grips with the fact I’m writing for the blog now. Funny enough, I used to read Tony’s and Bri’s articles every morning in my senior Anatomy class. When I met Tony at Indy Pop Con earlier this year, I was a bit over excited. Coming from Kokomo, it was like meeting a celebrity. And now I’m here, writing for him. Huh.
Anyway, I like to partake in a little Geeking every once in a while.
Okay, everyday.
All the time.
I like to consider myself a bit of a Jack-Of-All-Trades. I’ll try anything Geek at least once. Mostly, I enjoy Star Wars, Doctor Who, Nintendo, Comic Books, Video Games, Anime, listening to Nerdcore music, and spending way too much time developing the lore behind my Dungeons and Dragons homebrew.
Seriously, I’ve put like 45 hours into it just this week.
Tony is a really busy guy, and I have way too much free time, so I’ll be taking over Media Monday posts for a while. It’ll be nice to finally have people to listen to me rant about movies and video games. That’s right, I’m gonna be writing about video games! Gah, I’m excited! Seriously, I don’t think I should have had that Red Bull. I’m shaky enough already.
“But Grant, if you’re writing Media Monday posts, why is this going up on a Thursday?” Hmm, why is that?
I was asking you, I have no idea. (Neither do I. It just seemed like a good idea, at the time. – Tony)
Anyway, that about wraps up introductions. Glad that’s out of the way. Now you all know me! I’ll be back on Monday with a new post, and you’ll finally get the chance to love/really hate my opinions on things!
